  This hotel is in Chinatown and located only a few doors down from directly under the Manhattan bridge. Sounds terrible but it's not. We were on a budget and this hotel was perfect. It makes a huge difference being on Manhattan, so as long as you can stand the Asian smells on the sidewalk, everything from here is as accessible as anywhere else on m... was die leute sagen » anhattan. The metro is a 5 min walk away taking you to time square within 20mins or less. The room was large, clean and recently refurbished. The beds - I though the hotel was very clean, especially the rooms. The location was good, train stations were 3-4 blocks away which made getting around town easy. The neighborhood (Chinatown), although dirty was safe. Staff was friendly and tentative for the most part. The rooms, for being nyc were good size. There was not porter fee to pay for as a group booking.

  Our experience was great from our reception by the doorman helping us with our bags, our greeting as we checked in and the comfort of our room. We even got a n/c upgrade. The hotel is situated conveniently to both the theatre district, lower Manhattan, and is right off the FDR at 37th.   Room was spacious, well equipped and very clean. Unusual to see hard surface floors in the room, but made me feel better about cleanliness, potential bug issues. Lovely modern room with a huge really comfortable bed (more comfortable than the bed on the cruise ship that we joined a few days later).
