  85 year old plus Uncle Fred took us to dinner while we were staying at the Harrington. Fred stayed at the Harrington in 1947, and leaving the hotel bumped into Harry Truman. &Quot;Where are you stationed, Soldier?" asked Truman. However, this hotel is the perfect place to stay in dc. It has nice, basic rooms, very clean and provides all that is required. Most importantly, it is in a great location, being very close to all the popular tourist destinations. There is a fun bar in the lobby, and the cafe provides a decent, well priced breakfast. I thoroughly recommend this one.

Breakfast was better than many places we've stayed and included scrambled eggs and morning biscuits - not bad! The price was terrific and the value excellent for this part of DC. Really....
