The room was nicely decorated and very clean. Just what you can expect from a new, renovated hotel. The room was somewhat on the small side (1 king bed, room with two queens is larger but also more expensive) but I guess that is common in NY where space is limited and hotel prices are high. This is a beautiful hotel. The room was extremely clean and up-to-date. Our beds were comfortable. It definitely fit our needs for NYC. It was very close to everything - walking distance to 5th Avenue, Broadway, Times Square - but we were not in the midst of the crowds, noise and chaos. Das Bedford Hotel liegt sehr sehr zentral. In nur wenigen Minuten erreicht man die Grand Central Station. Stayed here for a couple of days before dropping my daughter to summer
camp. The staff here are so welcoming and bend oer backwards to please.
We were upgraded upon arrival. The rooms and bathrooms in this hotel are
huge compared to most rooms in Manhattan and the decor is funky yet
comfortable. The location is fabulous. 3 minutes to Grand Central
Station and about 10 minutes to Macys. I love this hotel so much that
I'm going back in 3 weeks to stay for a week!!!

The position is simply perfect to visit Manhattan, very close to Times Sq., the 5th Av., the theater distr. and a couple of strategic subway stations. Location was excellent... On 51st St. between 5th and 6th Ave. Right across from Radio City Musical Hall, and the Rockefeller Plaza/Center, plus the Subway station was around the corner.
The room was a bit small, but comfortable enough for 3 (2 adults & one kid). The small fridge and microwave were a plus! The lobby is small compare to other big hotels, but it was quiet. The staff was always nice and helpful. I will stay there again!

I can't say enough about how awesome this hotel was. I kept telling
my husband, "Wow!! We SCORED!!!!" The rooms were quite
spacious, the shower had great water pressure, we loved having a little
mini kitchen with a fridge, stove top and dishwasher. It was great for
reheating leftovers when the kids were hungry. The staff was courteous

Everything about this hotel was amazing. I had originally booked a 3 night stay for my mom and myself. We had a room with two double beds and it was surprisingly spacious from my previous experience with NYC hotels. We didn't feel like we were stepping all over eachother! We ended up needing to stay for another night and the staff were very accommodating eventhough we ended up having to stay in a King room. This is a "Classic" hotel that is part of the Waldorf Astoria. Separate entrance, separate doorman, concierge, etc. Feels like "Old New York". Rooms have 15 ft ceilings and wonderful architecture. We had two rooms and our daughter's room was modern, phenomenal bath all in marble. great, personal, service. Will definitely stay again. -
