The staff was very friendly, professional and accommodating. Our flight arrived very early and left very late. The hotel was able to get us checked into our room within a couple of hours. The concierge, Obi, got us fantastic reservations.
It would be nice to have a fridge in the room, but it wasn't a big issue.

My stay at the Sofitel hotel was an extraordinary experience. I have traveled and spent time in many hotels, but this experienced exceeded above and beyond my expectations. The staff went out of they way to accommodate you, the bed was extermely comfortabe and I loved the sheets and duvet, the room was immaculate and lovely and the hotel decoratons were beautiful. Thanks for such a lovely experience!!!!!
The hotel is really well located a block away from the Hancock tower. The rooms are really nice but the bathtub is smaller than I would have liked. The lobby smells really nice!
The bed was a little hard and I had a back ache, and the restaurant was not very good - I would not recommend eating in their restaurant unless you are desperate. The ambiance is not great and the food is not awesome - and Chicago is a food town.

The staff and the overall atmosphere.
The bedding is terrible. There is no sheet and only the down comforter which is like an oven, We were sweltering and I had to sleep w the robe for a cover. (Even with the temp. Down to 66). Pillows are way too high and wide in our room. My daughter and I both had our necks at a 45% angle while laying flat.

All the staff were very gracious and friendly. We had dinner at the hotel which was very good. We had breakfast there two mornings. Also very good although expensive as one might expect in a large city hotel.
The ONLY thing we didn't like was that if sitting up in bed the very sharp metal edge of the artwork was right at the level of the side of your head by your eye. Art work needs to be hung higher IMHO. Quite a design flaw.
Brilliant bed. On floor 28 not a sound at night. Superbly placed for tourist venues and shopping. Bose music system in room a pleasant surprise. The city view from our window was spectacular.

Probably the best breakfast in North America! Impeccable service and very welcoming personal. An oasis of French eye for detail and an European atmosphere throughout the entire hotel. The building is undoubtedly designed by a French architect. Real value for money at a superb location. For me the place to stay in Chicago!

It is not necessary to put everyday a new soap if the older one is still there. I would prefere european style buffet breakfast.
This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! The building itself is really impressive, the room (as well as the bathroom!) was spacious with pleasant furnishing, the staff was really friendly and helpful. This is really a luxury hotel: when you go in, you feel pleasant fragrance in the lobby, if it rains you can borrow umbrella, people open the front door for you etc. The location is just perfect. You can find a red line station nearby.
There is only one thing: the mattress in the bed was a bit too soft for me. So this is not a real negative experience, as maybe it was like that only for me.
Every aspect of the hotel was excellent, from the staff, elegance, cleanliness and location.

The view from the room and the location was great, I can walk directly to any place I want in downtown - Michigan Ave, Millennium Part, Lake Shore Drive, Navy Pier.
The linkage between letsbookhotel.com and the hotel seems to have some problem, first they thought I had booked a car which I did not, then they overcharged me on the room which is different from the price I got from letsbookhotel.com, but the staff were nice and eventually solved it out.
Bed was super comfy. Staff very friendly, especially front desk person Marie? (Maria?) She was exceptionally helpful. Beautiful bathroom.
Mini bar should be complimentary, considering high cost of rooms.

I loved the location. The outdoor patio was fantastic to have a drink outside. The staff were very friendly and helpful/courteous. The hotel was impressive in every way.

Excellent hotel. They initially offered a suite on the 10th floor. I asked for something else and they gave me a suite on the 28th floor. The view was superb and the room was perfect.

What's not there to like.The hotel has a delightful ambiance with lovely fragranced candles hitting you as you enter the lobby. Attention to detail is evident. Everywhere is kept so clean. Designer cosmetics in rooms. Staff,concierge always helpful. Would definitely return again and again. Expensive but worth every dime.
