  Hotel 140 was a great place to stay for me. I was traveling alone and it was located just a block from the train station. The front desk was great to help me in directions of the city. Very friendly staff. Also after I left and was at the train station having a hard time figuring out which way to go, a young man asked if he could help. He was not at work and I did not recognize him so he could h - Hotel 140 is located only a 5-minute walk from the rear exit of Back Bay Railroad Station. Upon arrival I had taken the train from Springfield, MA. I followed the drive where the local buses pull into Back Bay Station right out to Clarendon Street and bore left. I had just a half-block walk from that point to the front entrance of the hotel. I discovered that the hotel had upgraded my single room reservation to a Queen size bed (and more spacious room) at no extra charge from my original re

  The breakfast was exceptional and the afternoon snack was a nice bonus. The airport shuttle was efficient and fast and the rooms were spacious and nicely furnished.   I loved the front desk staff. They were extremely helpful, helping us understand the train routes. The shuttle service was excellent, always on time. The morning breakfast was outstanding, many choices and different hot food each morning. I loved the turkey sausage. The room was beautiful and very clean. The price was very reasonable. The lob - It was close to the airport, the shuttle picks you up, drops you off. The shuttle also works to take you to a local target and/or to the closest metro station. The room was pretty large, the hotel also has a laundromat (besides the regular laundry service for hotel prices) which you have to pay for 1,5$ for washer and 1,5$ for dryer. But I did appreciate it and did my own laundry -- it was cheaper than have it done at the regular hotel laundry service.

  Location was great! Its a very historical building and its been updated. On the first night, there was banging like someone was using a hammer at 9pm and I called the front desk and it stopped!
