They have several old cars and articles that are from the early 20th century. We both enjoy the old Route 66 type atmosphere. AND, the showers with high water pressure were absolutely GREAT! The owners were also very friendly and knowledgeable.

  Overall 2 thumbs up. Would expect a lower quality place for the price. Upon arrival I was pleased with the exterior appearance. This then extended to the professional staff. ALL were extremely helpful in pointing out places of interest and how to get around. This pleasure continued once I saw the accommodations. Although I can afford to stay where ever....when I need a hotel in the Barstow area...I will always choose California I - Motel has rooms with view to the unexpectedly large Pool. They have a back door and even a small terrace. We were a party of four with older children and the room was spacious and absolutely sufficient. We used the guest laundry and everything was in good working order and the prices were absolutely ok. The complimentary breakfast was a nice add on! We can strongly recommend the California Inn.
