My partner and I stayed here as first timers as we had won a free meal at a nearby Golf Club. I was slightly worried about being in a hostel as some people probably would on an initial thought but I have to say it was absolutely wonderful and a bargain! My partner and I went for the private twin room (with bunkbeds) but I asked for a room with a double bed via email and we were upgraded for an extra £9 only, bargain. The room was great, shower was lovely and powerful too! Everything in the host.
alle bewertungen » We have stayed here several times when visiting the theatre in Stratford, and found that it had been refurbished over the winter. We were very happy with facilities before, but they are of a very high standard now. We enjoyed being able to eat breakfast outside on the patio area, and thought breakfast was very good value. The staff also went out of their way to be helpful, even phoning to get more info for us re a local National Trust property. Loved the building itself- beautiful on the outside, bright and welcoming on the inside- as well as the fact that you could get a proper meal at the hostel itself. Very helpful staff, particularly with answering questions about buses into town and arranging taxis early in the morning. And for £15 per night, it was just what I needed it to be. The most beautiful hostel I have ever seen! Big garden with benches everywhere, very clean rooms and a comfortable mattress!! Good breakfast. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again! Bus station to Stratford at the doorstep . Loved the house, rooms where spotless, breakfast was a feast, staff at reception where great, friendly and helpful, would give the hostel a 10/10. definitively would recommend it and will definitively be staying at more YHA hotsels. Had it been possible my partner & I would have been happy to stay at the hotel for much longer. en-suite room was fantastic, roomy comfortable with pillow and cover. It was clean, convenient to Stratford and affordable. The staff were friendly and informative. They supplied useful information for a future planned visit with SEN school pupils. As a family of six we only needed one room, location was perfect , nice grounds and games room so the kids to run off a bit of steam after the journey.Breakfast was lovely. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and worked great for our family of four. Breakfast was a great deal. The washer and dryer were bonuses. Lovely kitchen, well equipped. Nice TV lounge, garden, comfortable beds, good menu, nice friendly ambience. Unsure about staying in a YHA but I was very impressed. I know there's not much to be done about this, but...it's kind of expensive to get a taxi out there, the buses weren't exactly the most straightforward in terms of time-tables, and walking in the dark is a very bad idea which I found out the first night (daytime is OK though). So it was inconvenient being so far away, but that would be my only complaint!. Nothing to fault the hotel whatsoever. Nothing, even found the road signs adequate. Room was very warm , window would not stay open. It was a bit noisy (large group of young kids staying that night) but still well worth the price. nothing. The banging doors which are a problem in ALL the youth hostels wevstayed in. it is a bit away from stratford. nothing!. Not enough pillows. No hand towels for on suites. We were woken around 4 or 5am for about an hour by a terrible loud continuous droning nose in the pipes. Not a good night!. the location ,especially for the person who just stay in Straford-upon-avon one or two days not convenient 就是地方有些偏僻. The location is too dark. No street lights and even within yhA compound. It is quite far from the city centre (45 min walk). The breakfast in the morning was poorly cooked(sausages & bacon overcooked, eggs....). The state of the member's kitchen - I've done a lot of hostelling over the years and this is the worst I've seen. Crockery was sometimes unwashed, very few members did their drying-up but just left everything piled up by the sink. Drying-up cloths were left soaking wet not hung up to dry. room so small. noise outside. Being told I would have a room to myself only to be woken at midnight by 2 other women who had been booked into my room. At no time was I told that the situation had changed, not even when I arrived to check-in. There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
