Dr.John and his son is very nice and kind. The room is big with a living room and cooking place, so you can spend your time as you are at home. house is very near to the place of the best sunset view. don't be bothered that this hotel is 'far' from city center. Actually it's only 2~3 kilomiters and there are buses to the city center every a few minutes . And trust me the sea here is much more clear than that in downtown. BTW. We booked a 1 bedroom apartment but found it was a bit small for 4 of us upon arrival. The staff (owner's son) upgraded us to a 2 bedroom apartment for free! The next morning, we were greeted by the owner. He took time to share his thoughts and recommendations on where to go/what to do in Fethiye. He even drew us a detailed map of all the places in town. It was very pleasant chatting with him. We had a great day trip in Fethiye and wished we could stay longer!. The service at the Caretta was exceptional. We were picked up at the otogar and driven back all without charge. Dr Can found out hiking information for us and was always available to answer questions. Our apartment was large and clean and it was cleaned daily. The location was excellent as it was a short walk to the beach and restaurants and on the dolmus route into Fethiye. We booked here because of the favorable reviews and found it exceeded our expections. Dr Can is genuinely interested in his guests and both he and his wife are very kind and caring. He makes you feel like a house guest, rather than a customer to be milked. Fresh oranges appeared, and he would do anything to help a person in trouble. It is small enough outside to feel intimate, and the well tended gardens support lovely flowers, with jasmine flowing over walls, and fruit trees dripping with oranges, lemons, tangerines etc. Absoltuely, hands down the best staff we have ever seen. They are such amazing people, from helping you out in every possible way to playing dominos with you late into the night their staff are always there. Very kind people. Clean place with all the amenities. Highly recommended if you are staying for a long time too. Their guests come back to them year after year. The apartment is simple but all you need and great value. It is close to everything. I was surprised that they were serviced daily! Dr Can picked us up from the bus stop and dropped us off. He had lots of ideas on things for us to do and was really helpful. It was nice talking to the guests by the bar in the evening. the staff were amazingly nice and facilitating. we mentioned to the owner of the hotel that we wanted to go to Fethiye harbour and he offered to drive us! Not expensive, free parking, friendly host. nothing. Nothing. little bit of traffic noise. The bed was not that comfortable and the bathroom didn't smell the best. Near the road. But no Parking problems:). None. Some mosquito splatter marks on walls of our room. Otherwise good. Nothing. On very top floor and could only use air conditioner when in the room. Room was scorching hot upon our return to room everytime and it took a long tome to cool down. Ants. The furnitures old and not clean. The mosquitoes from the large swamp at the end of the street are a problem. No tv. The owner was too familiar (he tried to hug the female customers), and thought of himself as a comedian (not very funny). There was not a plug in the kitchen sink, and no dishwashing liquid or tea towels supplied. Location was boring and the stoney beach was unpleasant with cloudy water. We booked for 6 nights but stayed for 4. The location is not good, and there seems to be a problem with the address, because google maps and apple maps cannot find it; very few electric outlets: we had to unplug the fridge to plug in the toaster. Also, not good for older people; the stairs are steep and difficult to climb.
