There are restaurants next to the hotel serving local cuisine - tried one of them and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The hotel has also a restaurant but didn't get a chance to dine there.

  Stayed as a single person in a double room with a balcony overlooking the street. I really liked the balcony and did not find the street particularly noisy. I liked the early bells from the Indian temple. Close to Chinatown but far enough away from Pagoda Street to not be crowded. The wonderful Tong Ah restaurant is just up the road. We arrived well before the check-in time and were offered early check-in no charge. There is a good variety of food available for breakfast which is definitely worth paying a bit extra for. We also had some food at the restaurant and it was really good. We wi
