  I liked everything about this Riad. It was exactly what I needed. Close to the Madina but not inside which meant I knew where I was at all times. It is within 2 min walk to the Blue Gate and close enough to walk to the brand new mall in the new city. If that's not enough The staff there is the best I have encountered on my 2 month trip. It was our first trip in Morroco and Fes and it was a real pleasure to stay in this riad which is well situated, in the medina and not far from an entrance (Bab Boujloud) which helps you not to get lost ! The reception and the rooms of the hotel are very nice and well decorated, in a local style, and the atmosphere is very warm. The staff is very kind.   On arriving at the airport we were greeted by a friendly taxi driver who agreed a price of 150 Dhirams to take us to Fez He called the hotel for us. We were met at "the blue gate" by Youness, a worker from the hotel who helped us with our bags. After that the hotel was always easy to find again. The room was spacious and comfortable. I have never before experienced a warmness like this before, as if you are coming home with friends. My friend was sick wenn we arrived and was taken care of immediately. Sakina and Hussein bought him medication, for which they did not want to get any money. They boiled him rice and did not charge, etc. These are lovely people. And the Riad is a nice place. An oasis of calm in the hectic of a Moroccan city.

  Receptionist was lovely. She made a special effort to have breakfast available early for us and another couple who were catching an early train to Marrakech. Nice sized room, well appointed. Good shower. Room has on top floor so it was very quiet and has its own balcony although you get a better view over Fes from the adjacent terrace. Just keeping - Friendliness of the riad team - the two ladies were very helpful and knowledgeable, took me to a local hammam, arranged a henna for me. The riad itself is a hidden gem, indeed - luxurious rooms, well maintained and perfectly clean. Royal suite highly recommended, but all rooms have a charm of their own and are a nice choice.
