  We stayed here as a family for 2 nights at the end of September. Check- in went smoothly, staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had 2 x 1 bedroom apartments in the Residences and the views were great from the 30th floor. They apartments were serviced daily, king size bed was very comfy, large flat screen tv, nice modern bathroom and kitchette... was die leute sagen » , 2x bottles of water supplied daily included in the cost of the room as well as a daily newspaper.   Location was perfect for food, bars and generally getting around. It pays to walk around the area as the traffic is a bit hectic at nighttime. The hotel furnishings are dated but can be considered as Retro. A fresh coat of paint would give it life. All in all the staff where great, all smiles and very helpful. Friendly staff and especially one called Robert bell boy/driver was very helpful. Good swimming pool including for kids. Good view of the city skyscrapers from the rooms. Value for money and very spacious.

  I booked for a 3-night stay at the superior room, looking at the existing photos thinking it might be a bit run down. But to my delight, I was placed at the premier floor, where the rooms/ floor(s) apparently have been refurbished. It was a big room, and so was the bathroom. There was a nice egg shaped bath, and a separate shower cubicle. The bed ... was die leute sagen » was extra large so this was another bonus! The kitchenette allows one to cook (but the cooking utensils were not complete, so you will have to ask for - I cant express how great the stay at the Pacific Regency was, I found the staff very friendly and accommodating always willing to help and assist, the Hotel was immaculate, great food, awesome breakfast, rooms had a kitchenette which was great also a large fridge (very rare to find full size fridge) I have 3 children under 3 1/2 Years old and had heaps of room to play in the room which also included a extra bed and cot. I will definitely stay again with the family infact organizing another trip
