Good location, quiet, very polite and helpful staff.
Nothing to complain.
The staff were very helpful, and spoke english (which was great). The room was spotless and the amenities were good - including the complimentary pjs. The hotel was well serviced by public transport and there were good food options nearby. Breakfast was excellent with Japanese and 'western' options.
This is my second stay this year , what a great hotel , I will definitely return on my next Tokyo adventure
everything
sige of the room too small for two people
The hotel was very clean. It's also very cute and quiet. The location was good.
The rooms are small but this is typical for Japanese hotels. The real problem for us was the breakfast selection (no cheese only kiri) but again it's like that in most Japanese hotels.
friendly and helpful staff
The hotel had all the little touches that some places tend to forget which makes it perfect for an extremely comfortable stay.
Nothing. I travel extensively and this is one of my favourites across countries.
Our hotel room was a good size it was clean and the bed was very comfortable with good linen.
We wanted to have a Japanese breakfast, and was informed by the hotel that they only do the Japanese breakfast for 20 people and it was fully book. For a hotel of this size they should provide more that 20 Japanese breakfast and should also inform guests that a reservation is needed before hand.
Stylish hotel, friendly staff, superb location, seismically isolated. Easy access to JR line and Metro. Very easy access via Limousine bus to airport from Tokyo Dome Hotel - 400m away. Room very generous size, love the PJs provided each day. Great to have openable window.
Nothing to not like.
Very good hotel - clean, comfortable. Excellent staff. Peasent room.
Location is not so convenient for travelling by trane.
- Nice and clean room with good service
- A little far from train station
Close to train station, english speaking staff, breakfast buffet, massage chairs, washer dryer facility, atmosphere, 7 eleven next door, earthquake proofing against minor quakes, close to akhihabara electric town by train,
no info given about washer dryer facility, no info about massage chairs, no signs from train station pointing direction to hotel, Limited tv channels unless you understand japanese,
Good location in quiet place near JR station. Excellent hotel. I like it more than 5 stars hotel New Otani in Osaka.
Bed size.
Good location, good rooms, great great food, amazing price/value.
Nothing
This hotel was excellent value for money for Tokyo. The staff speak English but this is not like a cold chain hotel. It has an authentic Japanese ambience and is clean, quiet and was a pleasure to stay at. Location is good - a few minutes walk from the nearest subway stop. Highly recommended. I particularly appreciated the pyjamas you are given to wear during your stay!
Nice facilities, helpful staff
Room somewhat cramped. Hotel hard to find. Breakfast expensive.
location, money value, staff
nothing
Very nice and clean hotel, not far from the train station. My room was a confort room.
Staff friendly always got a greeting when we walked in & if there was to be any issues I would have no problem approaching them. Good english. We stayed 6 nights & the room was cleaned very well. Loved the pj's also. Great location near station plenty of choice for eating. Would stay again.
The room is new and comfortable. Nice selection of bathroom amenities. Pajamas are provided. Staff is fluent in English, polite and helpful. There is a convenient store next to the hotel.
It is not super close to the train station. Not many restaurants around there.
Friendly staff, hotel clean, quite and very well placed for visitors to travel around Tokyo. Wide range of restuarants within walking distance.
Fantastic Hotel, very good location just a few minutes walk from the Suidobashi Station and Metro. Nice design and feel to the hotel, rooms very clean and good decour. Food at the Hotels Japanese Restaurant excellent. Lots of other food options on the main road. Relaxation room with Laundry facilities was a god send when on a long holiday.
Nothing comes to mind.
The extra long beds in our twin room, the space for our luggage, the quietness, access to food/shopping/trains
difficult to find initially; top end in house restaurant prices; there were only two washing machines/dryers for the whole complex;
Price Cleanliness Competent Staff Japanese Flair
Bed too soft
elegant and classy design; politeness of staff;
poorly equipped gym; no swimming pool; no instant coffee in room; limited room service (only a few hours a day); majority of signs are in Japanese (also elevators greets guests in Japanese only);
The staff were excellent and caring. They were very supportive when we had difficulties getting to the airport after a typhoon when all connections were down.
The hotel restaurant was not the gourmet experience we expected. poor value for money.
Loved everything about it.
A couple more washer dryer would come in handy so the guests do not need to wait in line as much.
comfortable, clean and nicely designed rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, amenities like you would find in a bigger hotel (full size toiletries, robes and slippers, etc.), onsite laundrymat and complimentary massage chairs, close to train station
none!
The situation of the hotel is pretty much ideal for Tokyo with just a 3 minute walk to Suidobashi rail station and a 5 minute walk to the Tokyo Dome City area. The hotel itself is relatively new so all is sparkling and fresh.Decent sized rooms and I was in the smallest of them!
Breakfast at 2300 Yen was too pricey and there are lots of coffee shops around and about anyway.Late check-out offered at 2000 Yen per hour was too much for me personally....so think about this if you wish to keep your room for a few hours!
Rooms were very tiny. The bed was only a double size. Quite small for 2 people.
It is located close to the city center and near to a JR station. The room has a modern design with nice Japanese feeling.
Not budget friendly. Difficult WIFI setup.
Everything very good. Style beautiful, massage chairs helpful, location perfect
Good location, Clean, free Wifi, everything you need for a city tour.
Breakfast is expensive.
the lovely staff the scent as you enter the decor
a little far from restaurants
location staff spoke english and were friendly
a bit pricey, esp if you include breakfast
Nice decoration. Clean.
Room is small. We don't like the location. It is so quiet and nothing around the hotel.
Hotel was very close to the JR Sobu line (subway). Rooms were big, clean, appeared to be very new, and staff was super nice. This was the nicest hotel I stayed in while in Japan for a reasonable rate. It's also very close to the Tokyo Metro Dome and shopping center.
At first finding the place is hard as it is down back streets and we didn't have working GPS or data service on cellphones.
very convertible bed the lighting for me it was great dark inside the room help you to sleep fast after a long day
The japanese style of the rooms , the atmosphere of the hotel , the restaurant, very close of the subway.
Helpful staff, well equipt rooms, central location and easy access.
Limited breakfast options.
Lovely hotel with stylish, comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Excellent value for money.
Super clean and staffs are nice and well trained.
This was a great choice for a short stay in Tokyo. The hotel is meticulously clean, very stylish. The rooms are tiny, but there is obviously a lot of thought about every detail that makes up for this
Very small rooms
Good service, Clean at a fair price.
Nothing to complain about
Easy to get there with the metro even though it needs a 5min walk from the station, nice clean japanese style rooms
It was not possible to fully darken the room so the sun gleamed into the room in the morning.
The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The room (we got a free upgrade because the hotel was full) was really nice. I loved the bath and robes and nice feeling of the room. The breakfast buffet was really nice as well.
I liked the coffee machine in the room, but it was a little hard to figure out how it worked even with extensive English directions.
Excellent service and very clean.
The look and feel of the Hotel Niwa was very Japanese. Walking in the door each time felt like coming into a little peaceful oasis. Great to have wifi as well.
Very clean , comfortable , very handy to explore Tokyo .
Great location in the city centre; close to JR Suidobashi station, convenience stores and restaurants; large and well-equipped room ("superior" type) with nice Japanese design; comfortable bed and pillow; good value for money; professional English-speaking staff
For people who like to sleep late in the morning and are sensitive to light, the window shades may not be thick enough.
