  My wife and I have traveled fairly extensively. I am not exaggerating when I say that this was the finest hotel we have ever stayed in. It is certainly possible to find more expensive hotels. But the staff -- and it does make an incredible difference -- was deeply warm and welcoming, and helped us out during a transportation snafu. Vesuvius was a delight. The view from the breakfast room is also truly gorgeous, making eating twice as good. There is no restaurant available for other meals but not an issue for us as plenty of little restaurants in Sorrento to choose from. We would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again in a heartbeat.
