  Hotel Ercoli is a very clean and friendly place. The room is really small (we had standard double) so it suits for those who are looking for a good bed in the end of a long day spent in beautiful Rome. There is a very good breakfast (fresh bread, cheese, ham, eggs, jams, cakes, yogurts, etc.). We took a bus which cost us 1.5 euros each to the Vatican. as this is about 25 min drive away. Hotel rooms were spotless as was - Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Hotel was able arrange an extra nights stay after we missed our flight at short notice. Room was good size for 3 adults. The Hotel was close to the central station and easy to find, even with the hotel that close it was not affected by any noise. There are plenty of restaurants and fast food outlets adjacent to the hotel offering a varied choice and at good prices. Will stay there again.

The kids enjoyed the hotel although we were unable to use the pool due to times. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff exceptionally helpful and polite.   They really do a great job to make you feel comfortable and welcome. We enjoyed our stay here. The metro is close so you can easily get around (Use the Bologna station). We are overall pleased. It takes about 25-30 min by bus to get to the nearest metro station and Varican. Moreover, busses are very reliable - during the day they pass with exactly 20 min interval. Overall, left with - I've encountered some problems during my stay in this hotel, however, their manager responded decently. I really appreciate the gentleman's great work. I would come back and recommend this hotel to my friends. It is a little far from the city center, about 20ish minutes to Vatican by bus. However, it is still convenient to take bus 32 to go to Vatican. The bus station is 300 meters away from the hotel. I only spent a couple of minutes to wait for the bus coming during my three days' visit.
