Alessio, Silvio, Francesca, and Stefan were wonderful and welcoming in every way. It made for a family type of environment, which was absolutely perfect for my solo trip to the islands.   The hotel is set just outside the historic village of Savoca and is accessed via a narrow roadway along a steep mountain ridge. Initially I fe - Borgo San Rocco is a truly magical place. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and we felt at home instantly. The staff and owners are so friendly, and helpful they make you feel a very welcome guest in their beautiful resort that they love as much as we did. The peace and quiet is amazing and the views are just beautiful. To sit on the balcony in the evenings as the sun goes down, listening to the church bells as the swallows swoop into the valley below is just heaven. We loved exploring

  The place is awesome and the little houses really nice. In the midle of "nowhere" is a fantastic place where to stay and relax. Breakfast is a major affair with a wide array of fruits, pastry, cheese, prosciutto and Maria's homemade yogurt. The decor and landscaping is chic and rustic. Definitely one of the major highlights of our trip is staying in this wonderful bed and breakfast.

Ispica is interesting for the cava d'Isp - Very eclectic and modern design, the room was very comfortable with lots of storage space and high end shower and bath soaps. The location is rural and very peaceful, the grounds are beautiful, the breakfast was a delicious mix of local dishes and fresh fruit. The lady in charge was very graceful and helpful. I would describe the Balarte as the Gugenheim in the middle on the Scicilian countryside !
