Packed with fami - We stayed in a very spacios family room in this caracter house just outside Favara, whcih is only a 10 minute drive away from the Valley of the Temples. The owner is most gratious and did everything possible to ensure a memorable stay for us and other guests. A family run Italian restaurant he recommended in Favara (King Bar) was very authentic and non-touristy.   We adored this hotel. It's beautifully decorated with antiques etc. The location is perfect for the old part of Taormina and they run bus transfers to a couple of beaches for €8 and €10. If you arrive by bus and are unfamiliar with Taormina we recommend getting a cab to the hotel as it would be difficult to find initially. In fact as soon as we would arrive in reception they would leave whatever work they wer - Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff - a very pretty, small and intimate hotel. It had a very nice terrace area for relaxing in the heat of the afternoon and our room had its own private terrace too. Breakfast was extremely good, with lots of choice and some local specialities which we liked very much. Quiet, but convenient for the centre of Taormina.
