  Great hotel. Room we stayed in was huge, spotless and very clean. The bathroom was huge and spotless. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, with an excellent variety of fuits and other staples. Good firm superking sized bed in a standard room. A lot of the original stone had been built into the deisgn and was well done.Very quite. We had a back room 415 and with the shutters closed it was silent. In summer if you wanted to open the shutters there is an aircon machine nearby which is noisy.

  Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Antonio on reception who arranged car hire and airport transfers for us. Nothing was a problem for him. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had a balcony with a view of the beach and isola bella. Great selection for breakfast and reasonably priced snack menu. We felt we got good value for money. Thumbs up - The staff were very courteous and helpful. We stayed only one night but the were happy for us to leave our car in their garage on the day we were leaving until 5pm so that we had time both to go to the beach in the morning and then to take the cable car to Taormina and have a good look around. The pool and roof terrace are great with fantastic views, likewise the restaurant/bar. If I was to go again I would definately stay for longer.

Parking is close, but it is in the blue spaces so you need to be collecting coins to feed the meter. It is only a few meters from Via Liberta, Via Garibaldi, Via Torrearsa which are the main shopping and dining streets. It is away from the cr - My family and I loved every minute of our stay at the beautifully renovated La Gancia! We stayed with a 4 month old baby and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and happy! Personal attention and courtesy was given by all the staff: at reception, breakfast bar and evening drinks. Thank you Residence La Gancia, we will recommend you to all our friends.
