  As with many Sicilian town destinations, we arrived a bit fraught after the sat nav yet again let us down once we got into the usual hairpin bends and narrow old streets. However that mood was soon dispelled by the charming Senora Elena and the room's stunning view down the coast - totally dominated by the backdrop of Mt Etna of course. We normall... was die leute sagen » y spend little time at our hotels but here we really enjoyed the glorious terrace and our own bottle of wine - rather than Taormina's main strip with - B&B Villa Sara is a great place to stay while visiting Taormina. Though a 10-15 minute walk up the hill from the city center, the spectacular views from the rooms are worth walking this distance. A large terrace that each room is equipped with is simply amazing, overlooking the sea, the town of Taormina and the Mount of Etna. Our room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable.   Warm welcome by host Nando. He really let you feel like home. Fontana Vecchia is very close to the city centre in a quiet area of Taormina, with good and free parking space! Rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Taormina is beautiful but very turistic.   Annalisa the owner was really friendly and helpful and gave us lots of good tips and useful info. The shared kitchen area and fridge was great for making quick snacks, cups of tea, storing food, etc. Great location- extremely handy for buses to and from airport, Erice, Palermo... also very easy to walk into the old town.   Sebastiano was a great host. Laid back, relaxed and very accommodating. There's nothing he wouldn't do for the comfort of his guests. Sebastiano speaks very good English and was happy to tell us all about the region and about the attractions of the area. The apartment was very spacious and clean with a very authentic Sicilian townhouse feeling. It's also wo - A very warm welcome from the owner who gave me lots of information about the city. My room was large and comfortable. And it was a treat to have a lounge in the room - it was very spacious. The location is excellent. Best of all, breakfast at the Bar Commerciale was superb. A wonderful selection of pastries and the owner and staff are great. It's also a great place for lunch - and it's a pretty place to just sit and relax.
