  Excellent hotel in a very good location just off Maggiore Piazza. The staff were friendly and helpful. I drove to the hotel and they looked after city driving permit and parking. I used sat nav to find hotel which got me to the front door, unfortunately via a pedestrian area! Still I learnt some new Italian phrases. It's not the place for a romanti - Historical nature of building; space in rooms (much larger than most hotel rooms in Italy, extremely spacious bathroom); nice paintings and furnishings; large lobby; free wifi; helpfulness of staff; reasonable (but not exceptional) breakfast (fresh fruit would be nice)
