  Absolutely loved it. The owner, Matteo came and met us at Rialto Bridge, from there it was a few minutes walk to the hotel. St Marks square was just a few minutes walk too. We were upgraded from out triple room (on the canal, which was delightful) to two very large adjoining rooms on the canal, with a double length balcony! It was stunning.   Lovely B&B clean,comfortable, Marco was fabulous and very knowledgable and made it very easy for us to find it by sending an email with very detailed instructions on how to get there, this was very valuable when you are in Venice, so many things are within easy walking distance, Rialto Bridge and Saint Mark's Square just to name a couple all i... was die leute sagen » n all we had a lovely stay - Hotel is very close to San Marco square. It is situated in a historic building with nice spacious rooms and is very clean and tidy. Italian breakfast in the morning is quite enough to keep you going. We liked everything. The only issue might be for people who have a lot of luggage, while this hotel is not equipped by the elevator - but it was not an issue for us.

  The location was excellent. Just a few minutes from 2 vaporetto stations (waterbuses). Getting around was so easy, whether by vaporetto or walking, with something new around every corner. Carlo, our host was a wonderful gentleman, speaking excellent English and very helpful with all our questions. Breakfast was very good, with plenty to eat. Nearby are lovely shops and restaurants, we can highly recommend San Trovano Taverna, for great food and p - Carlo was fabulous-- we discovered a problem with our airline tickets at the airport which meant an additional night in Venice (even though we'd already checked out of the hotel that morning), Carlo graciously said he he could put us up for the night saying, "it will be nice to visit with you again." He was also helpful with finding an open pharmacy on a Sunday and answering our many questions.
