  Service, service, service! I thought this hotel was a little pricey for what we got (room-wise), but the service was outstanding. I can honestly say that the coffee & croissants they served were the BEST I've ever tasted, and that includes in Paris. The room was small but very comfortable and clean, though next time we would probably opt for a room with a ensuite bathroom.   Nice location, just besides the water bus stop.The streets in Venice are so complicated that makes you easy to get lost, but the Pensione Guerrato is very easy to find. The staff are very kind, rooms are clean. We live in the top floor and from the window there you can see the bell tower in St. Marco square. The baby bed was perfect and the room itself was comfortable and very clean. The pensione is great value for money and ideally situated near the Rialto bridge.

  a lovely gentleman from reception desk greeted us when we arrived by coming downstairs and carrying our heavy luggage upstairs to second floor, then gave us a great overview of Venice and helped with directions and how to get around. It's also surrounded by good restaurants (incidentally, a very good one just next to the hotel). The room was clean and had an attached bathroom. The aircon was working nicely - no weird smells. If you have a huge luggage, I hope you have strong arms because the narrow stairwell requires you to hold the luggage in front or behind you.
