  First of all, the location couldn't be better. It is located about 2 blocks south of the Duomo, and 2 blocks north of Ponte Vecchio bridge and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted. There are city buses, and unbelieveably one of them comes right down the narrow street with a stop right in front of the B&B, so coming from the train statio... was die leute sagen » n with suitcases was no problem (1.5 euro bus ticket). The staff was excellent, and helpful in suggesting sights not to miss and how to get to them - Bruno showed us the most wonderful hospitality, we had a fantastic stay with him in Florence! He helped us book a lovely restaurant and was endlessly helpful with where to go and what to see in his home town. The B&B is his home and is run with warmth & love. The rooms are clean, comfortable & simple. There are tea and coffee facilities available at all times and a little mini bar for your use. Location is wonderful, right in the heart, near the Duomo but not at all noisy. Recommen

Excelent position (near S.M.N. Train Station and very close to the Duomo), very easy to find, rooms with an interesting design, spacious, private bathroom, terrace, very confortable bed, daily cleaning, good price and so on. We arrived later then the check-in schedule but there were no extra taxes. Florence is a great city and this place is in the same style of romance and relaxation.

The location was excellent with bus stops across the road which could take and return us to Florence in about 10-minutes. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very good. Finally, the price was fantastic, especially for what was included.

Clara was available at the end of a phone for an advice and she's generously helped me to book ahead my way out of the queue. The apartment was the perfect antidote to tourist congestion.

  The staff is WONDERFUL, kind and helpful. The location is perfect, It was quiet at night, but still very close to all the action. There was a living room area just off my room where you could meet up with other travelers -with a small fridge. I will return to La Cittadella on my next trip and highly recommend it to anyone else visiting Florence. The owner - The hotel is lovely. The room is warm and spacious. The bathroom is big and also has a heater. The desk staffs Teresa and the other guy are very helpful. The hotel is very secured, about 4 locks before you can enter. The lift is reliable. It is also 20 meters away from the bus stop Guido Monaco where you can easily take buses to Sta. Maria Novella and other destinations. There is also a Turkish restaurant and various cafes 20 meters away from the hotel and a Tabacchi store by the bus stop.
