This hotel is a lesson many top starred hotels should learn from on how to provide service. Joey and Lorenzo are very helpful, providing personal service and tips on what should be visited. Though missed the brea - What a great little place in a perfect location. The staff is amazing and very helpful. We were first time visitors to Italy. They made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to help us print out tickets etc. Recommended some of the best food we had. The location is tucked away in a coutyard by a church right off of a main street that leads to everything you would want to see in Florence. Would stay there again.

Florence centre is very complicated for driving and doesn't have free parking places for non-residents. To our knowledge, there aren't many public toilets available in Florence.   The staff is WONDERFUL, kind and helpful. The location is perfect, It was quiet at night, but still very close to all the action. There was a living room area just off my room where you could meet up with other travelers -with a small fridge. I will return to La Cittadella on my next trip and highly recommend it to anyone else visiting Florence. The owner - The hotel is lovely. The room is warm and spacious. The bathroom is big and also has a heater. The desk staffs Teresa and the other guy are very helpful. The hotel is very secured, about 4 locks before you can enter. The lift is reliable. It is also 20 meters away from the bus stop Guido Monaco where you can easily take buses to Sta. Maria Novella and other destinations. There is also a Turkish restaurant and various cafes 20 meters away from the hotel and a Tabacchi store by the bus stop.
