Brendan was very welcoming and helped us to settle in well. Our overnight stay was very enjoyable with a hearty breakfast to start the day. Our host was most obliging with information. The property is a short walk to the city centre where we were able to enjoy a bus tour and get a good perspective of Cork. -

From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable and welcome. I had called ahead to ask if our room could be ready earlier than normal check in time to enable us to freshen up and change for a wedding after travelling by car from Dublin and this was readily and reliably arranged. Either letsbookhotel.com made an error in booking the room or i did, but the room was only booked for one person somehow instead for 2 persons. I can't praise Lisadell house highly enough. Upon arrival we were given the warmest and friendliest of greetings which instantly put us at ease. The room was bright, clean and warm. Nice little ensuite too. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and served with a bit of banter. Excellent value for money and we would absolutely stay there again.

Really liked the personal interaction with the hosts/owners who were very generous with helpful travel tips, advice and recommendations. Our room was generous and light and the bathroom light and bright with good towels. It was the only bedroom on our trip that had a powerboard close to a mirror and a writing table which meant you could plug in your computer, recharge your mobile and use the hair-straightener at the same time!
