  The hotel is situated in an old part of Athens called the Plaka. It is right by the Accropolis and Hadrians Gate. Very central within walking distance to the center of town. 5 minutes from the Metro. There are shops and restaurants close by and an excellent old town square. There are two PCs in the lobby and genrally really good value for money. He may have sparked a new friendship/colleague :) I would recommend Adam's Hotel.

  We chose the Acropolis View Hotel as it is close to the Acropolis and walking distance from Plaka area. The Hotel Manager was really helpful and is on the business for many years. So he was able to offer many different options. It's close to restaurants, sights and shopping, but on a quieter side street. It's easy to get to the hotel from the airport - you just need to get X95 bus and get the latest station, whole jorney will take about 45 minutes and 5 euro.   This is a hotel for the no-nonsense traveler that wants to spend his time visiting the wonders of Athens. Location is one of the best in Athens for visiting everything Staff is very nice and helpful, 24h/day.   The staff is very helpful at all times and would recommend the best places in the city and how to reach, what to eat, etc. The price is really cheap and the hotel looks like a hostel for backpackers full of young people, so is highly recommended if you spend one or two nights and you don't want to spend a lot. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was nice and comfortable with AC , fridge and bathroom. The price was extreamly cheap and definately worth. There is free wifi in the whole hostel. It was a very quiet hostel, so a good base to relax at.

I was thankful for the air conditioner, cable tv, and great breakfast! - It was close to the train station, clean, had what I needed.   very close to omonia metro station. very helpful staff and the price was super cheap for a room(22 euros/night). i stayed in Rome and Paris the same week as backpacker with 5 more people for the same price. not only that, i was given a room with balcony with the view of Athens.
