  The hotel is situated in an old part of Athens called the Plaka. It is right by the Accropolis and Hadrians Gate. Very central within walking distance to the center of town. 5 minutes from the Metro. There are shops and restaurants close by and an excellent old town square. There are two PCs in the lobby and genrally really good value for money. He may have sparked a new friendship/colleague :) I would recommend Adam's Hotel.

  The location of the hotel is excellent. It's in between of Syntagma Square and the Acropolis. If you're catching the X95 to the airport, it's about 5-7 minutes walk to Syntagma. It's also very close to Adrianou street, which leads to the Acropolis. The hotel also has a rooftop garden, which offers good view to the Acro - The staff were fantastic in helping us sort out our onward travel arrangements - responding quickly and positively to emails before we arrived and making phone calls when we were there. The location within easy walking distance from Syntagma Metro station makes it easy to get to and from, and it is close to the centre of Athens for sightseeing and shopping. We will go back again.

No tea or coffee making facilities in the room but free boiling water readily available from staff in reception, also could purchase tea coffee alcohol etc 24 hrs a day Taxi service to & from the airport organized by the hotel which meant no surprises with cost.   Location was great for exploring Plaka, and all Athens monuments. It was also quiet. Our room on 3rd floor got Wifi signal, but the Wifi was only supposed to be in common areas. Big plus.   This is one of the best boutique hotels we have stayed in. The staff were outstanding. Very helpful with suggestions particularly for restaurants in the area and catching the metro/ferries etc. The room was large and very comfortable with a mini kitchen. It is well located in the Plaka district and easy walk to Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, - The hotel is charming, beautiful, clean with a staff that is so helpful and welcoming. They provide champagne and chocolates upon arrival. Additionally, they helped us with our boarding passes. They are right in the Plaka district within walking distance to many of the attractions. Loved it. And, I purposely left a pair of sneakers there and when I returned home there was an e mail letting me know that I had left them....and they wanted to know what I wanted them to do with them.
