  At first, I had booked a 16-day stay at the standard rate, which did not include a desk and a chair. I immediately upgraded and had a very enjoyable stay. I was also a little disappointed that there were few cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood and that the hotel seemed to be in a business district and residential apartment district. I also realized I was minutes - As noted, the rooms are small; however, they are well designed in that there are nooks and crannies as well as hooks that help keep everything organized and handy. The location is excellent, around the corner from the Spittelmarkt U-bahn station. There are eateries near the station--a bakery, konditorei and bierstube restaurant.   Das Hotel ist sehr neu und nach den neuestens Standards eingerichtet (mit Flat-TVs in jedem Zimmer). Das komplette Hotel ist sehr sauber insbesondere auch die Teppiche in allen Räumen und Gängen.   Auf Grund des Spezial-Preises hatten wir zunächst ein recht kleines Zimmer. Da allerdings eine lautstarke Feierlichkeit das Schlafen in diesem Bereich des Hotels unmöglich machte, wurde uns ohne viel Aufhebens und zu einem Aufpreis von 20 Euro der Umzug in eine ruhige Suite ermöglicht. Tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, wenn man einen Spezialpreis bucht. Wir waren begeistert, da wir in Berlin für dasselbe Geld bisher nie so schön gewohnt haben.

Especially I enjoyed the hotel sitting-room with wonderful fireplace and library - it was awesome! I strongly recommend to stay in Monbijou hotel :)
