  I just loved the whole time while staying at Oakwood. They try there best to cater for western cultures. There staff were just so helpful. The cost of drinks in the hotel bar were a little expensive but that's what you expect in an outstanding hotel. I have travelled the world and this hotel rates as a great hotel. Large variety of places to eat outside hotel. Short bus ride to Canton Fair. Washing facilities(need instructions for use in English though). English was well spoken by front end staff. Comfortable beds!!

  I was impressed, didn't expect too much from my usual experience with Chinese Hotels. One thing I know for sure after staying at the Somerset, I'll be a loyal customer from now on.   Very spacious, with a bathroom for each bedroom. The view from the floor-to-ceiling windows was wonderful. It was so nice to be able to spread out and work and relax after long days visiting factories. And the laundry room with the washer/dryer was an unexpected plus! I would definately stay here again! Free shuttle service to Canton Fair and back, very good breakfast (although I'm vegan, I surprisingly had plenty of options, different fruits every day, and good coffee). Two Macs in the lobby - Check in staff were warm and friendly and treat customers on a personal note. The location is central to shopping and digital plaza. Ideal for the dotcoms. Rooms well equipped and really it felt like home away from home. Breakfast was well presented,but little choice for the vegetarian . The sauna/jacuzzi and steam room a little disappointing as no towels are provided and no attendants in the spa centre.
