  nice and cosy room (earthly wood design just like resort style) with separate seating area, chinese tea set and 3 types of chinese local (good quality) tea leaves provided with natural water from famous spring (tea leaves and spring water free of charge), free welcome cocktail at bar, free hand treatment, good accessibility as there's a bus stop j... was die leute sagen » ust right outside the hotel, cosy library with free coffee and cookies, overall a very relaxing stay in this cosy boutique hotel, will definitely stay - The rooms are spacious, very clean and extremely well finished and decorated. This extended into every detail through the whole hotel, from lobby to hallways and rooms to a level you don't see very often in China, specially not in this price class. Bed was of superb quality. Break fast was nice with a good choice between Chinese and Western food. Also the food from room service was affordable and very tasty. Best thing was the spa, never had such a good massage anywhere in China.

  Breakfast room at top floor - Staff were very friendly and helpful, but shy about talking with a westerner - I was the only one staying there! Location is great. Decor is excellent. Single room was really big with a double bed. Non-smoking bedroom really was non-smoking(no lingering smell) - a rarity in China.

Sam in the Concierge team can speak English and was most helpful, even before our arrival in Hangzhou, by answering all our email queries about tours from Hangzhou to Huangshan (Yellow mountain). Staff is very pleasent. Western options in the jw marriot menu, nice swimming pool. Dont have this weird smell that you feel sometimes due to chinese cuisine. Nice executive room and good options for western breakfast in the 16 floor. Internet in room.

They can provide you only few additoonal information regarding how to rent bicycles, going to local traditional restaurants, activities and so on only because of their poor English. If you can speak/understand a little Chinese they can give you good advice.   We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on the executive floor with lounge facilities! The hotel room was spacious, very clean and tidy! The check-in was quick and efficient and the staff were very pleasant. The staff at the reception counter even brought us to our room. The quality of food, particularly the dessert, snacks and fuits at the executiv... was die leute sagen » e lounge were good except some hot dishes were not hot enough! Service was good. What impressed us was that free wi-fi was inside the hotel, the loung - I spent there only night because I arrived to hotel very late. I don't like this style of mixed Russian and American. Hotel is comfortable and nice but not I like. I booked executive room and I went to breakfast to special lounge I didn't like breakfast there. Maybe there is nice viewing on city throu window but breakfast was poor.
