  Staff was very helpful with giving suggestions for the activities in the city and spoke good English. Rooms are very nice and neat. Breakfast was excellent! One of the best we had in Brazil. Location is very safe, which is important if you visit Salvador. No one could visit and not appreciate the care and thought that has gone into the design and attention to detail, especially in the bay-facing rooms, with their balconies and spacious, comfortable rooms.   Es herrschte hier eine durchweg sehr warmherzige Stimmung, in der man sich willkommen und aufgenommen fühlt. Als Gast spürten wir eine völlig unaufdringliche Aufmerksamkeit für unsere Interessen und Hilfsbereitschaft bei Problemen. Auch wurden wir liebevoll darauf hingewiesen, wo man abends nicht mehr zu Fuß entlanggehen sollte, wo es noch möglich... was die leute sagen » ist etc. Zum 'café da manha' wurden allmorgendlich frisch zubereitete und exquisite Kleinigkeiten serviert. Die Zimmer sind individuell und stilvoll - Ein schön restauriertes Haus in der Nachbarschaft kleiner Restaurants und Cafes, mit toller Lage mit Blick auf die Bucht. Die charmanten Gastgeber, Jerusa und Stephane haben hifreiche Tips für Besichtigungen und Touren. Als bei mir wegen unklaren Problemen eine medizinische Untersuchung erforderlich wurde, war die Unterstützung durch Jerusa mit Uebersetztungen und aktiver Auswahl einer Klinik einfach Klasse und hat den Ablauf um vieles leichter gemacht.   Extremely friendly hostel right in the heart of the Pelourinho. The facilities are certainly a bit spartan, but the staff are overly friendly, speak many languages, and they assist you and advise you on all matters. The rooms are very simple but spacious, clean and fresh. They also have fridges for keeping snacks or drinks. The view from the rooms is very - Location was excellent, in the heart of Pelhourhino. Even though accommodation reflected the historic nature of the buildings and area (basic and old fashioned) it added to the feel of being in an historic, authentic location. We had a room which adjoined a communal terrace with fantastic sea views and ideal for enjoying a late night drink.

We stayed only one night and wish we have stayed longer. The hotel is an old beautiful building located close (10-15 minute walk) to the historical center of Salvador. We loved bright and tasteful interior of the hotel. The room was beautiful and clean. Staff was wonderful, most of them spoke English. The girl at the reception (unfortunately I don't know her name) was incredibly helpful - she helped us to check in on our flight (wi-fi internet
