  The hotel is an attractive, nicely restored mansion that is close to train station ( walk in 15 minutes) and the tram or bus to get to the old city is only a block away. Take tram 4 from the train station if you do not want to walk to the hotel. Get off at the 3rd stop then walk one block. After a day of walking, my wife was not up to walking to any local restaurants so he - The reception by the staff was very friendly and informative. The building was fancy and the rooms are large. The hotel is situated in a large mansion which used to be a number of things in the past and is nicely transformed into a (mere) fifteen room accommodation. The king- sizey bed was excellent and the bathroom was nice. We also had a great time in the City of Ghent, which we had a nice walk to (about 20-30 minutes) and returned from by tram.   The hostel was literally opening the day to arrive so the owners were a bit rushed to ensure things were in place for our arrival but they were very friendly and apologised for the mess and rish of things. The hostel is very very central and very well setup. The rooms are nice with their own kitchenette and nice bathrooms. No internet access when we were there as it was being connected but the WiFi signal was good on the top floor so - This hostel is brand new - I had to take the price stickers off my cup & plate! FANTASTIC!!! Really great host, Tom, was friendly & helpful even though he was juggling temporary "teething" problems with cards & systems. Rooms are good size, well furnished, good bathroom, kitchen sink, fridge, & 2 burner stove, and good heating. I had planned to stay 1 night but extended to 3!
