The lobby and bar are very relaxing and not far from the centre of the city although for some it might be a bit of a walk. There is a free hotel bus to town in the morning and a free community bus run that stops close by. Parking in the hotel is easy as well. The restaurant on the street level is very good and can be booked to the room.

It was a perfect spot for us, withs a pool that our 9 and 11 yr olds loved, and it is just across the road from a lovely safe swimming beach. We ate at home 4 of our 7 nights and had everything we needed in our kitchen, and there are both private and shared barbecues. We had a beachfront villa so waking up to the stunning views every morning was amazing! Highly recommend.

However, the room was more than adequate for our needs, bothclean and comfortable, with good quality linen and towels. Initially we stayed there as it also included Foxtel however we were moved to a more suitable wheelchair friendly accommodation not on the main complex and this didn't include Foxtel.   I love that the adult pool is separate from the main pool. It is such a great concept that luxury hotels should embrace. The rooms are comfortable with everything you need, the staff are accommodating, polite and a credit to the management of this long standing hotel. They were offering all kinds of help before we had even asked for it.This included making bookings for day trips , flights etc., and for caring for our luggage while we were away for a few days. Being associated with nearby Matso's was a bonus. We could walk or catch the bus to town, the markets, the Museum and Cable Beach. We got the regular shuttle to the airport.
