  Das Hostel/Hotel liegt direkt an der Esplanade, so dass die City und die Lagune fußläufig in 5 Minuten erreichbar sind. Wir konnten unser gebuchtes Zimmer (Zimmer mit eigenem Bad) direkt bei der Ankunft im Hotel um ca. 13:15 Uhr beziehen. In den großen Hotels in Cairns ist dies erst ab 14 Uhr möglich. Das Zimmer bestand eigentlich aus zwei Zimmer... was die leute sagen » n + einem Badezimmer. Ein riesiger Kühlschrank war vorhanden. Das Badezimmer war süß und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es gibt einen Swimmingpool, es sind - Wir (Mitte 40) hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit Bad gebucht. Das einfach eingerichtete Zimmer war nicht riesig, aber für unseren Zweck (Ausflüge, Bett für die Nacht) völlig ausreichend. Zimmer und Bad sauber. Küche zur Selbstversorgung gut ausgestattet und sauber. Swimmingpool. Laundry gegen Gebühr. Gepäckaufbewahrung gratis. WLan gratis (bis 06:00 p.m.) im öffentlichen Bereich. Gratis-Voucher für Dinner. Safe (allgemein) bei der Rezeption. Buchung von vielen Ausflügen möglich - sehr gute und persön

  Cleanest and most modern hostel I've ever stayed in. The place has clearly been renovated/upgraded recently and it's lovely. I was really impressed. The room ac had heat and cool, which is apparently rare in Australia where most ac usually only cools a room. The room was large, very clean, the shared bathroom down the hall, which is usually the wo... was die leute sagen » rst part of any hostel, was spotless. The restaurant was very well priced (eating out is always expensive in Oz) and the food was very good. - The service from Peter the manager was excellent. When we arrived there, my girlfriend was ill, he made a couple of phonecalls to doctors free of charge. When we got back at the hostel, he saw that my girlfriend was still not feeling better, so he upgraded our double room to a better room away from all the noise from the reception. Thanks a lot for this excellent service Peter and the rest of the staff!

  My room is 306, the room is clean, tidy and pretty quiet too. I like it very much! The reception ladies are friendly and helpful. But only one person to serve in the evening time seems under pressure. The location of YHA also very convenience to reach the market and airport too! - Location was great, facilities and wardrobes, staff available a... was die leute sagen » nd nice.   Great place. If you're looking for somewhere to party & have a laugh then this is the place. Stayed in a four bed room with an ensuite shower & toilet which were cleaned everyday. Staff were friendly & helpful along with the tour desk. The club though is brilliant!! Large & loud & does $10 meal/drink deal which was a life save... was die leute sagen » r. Would stay here again whenever in Cairns. - Stayed from 19.2.13 - 26.2.13 in room 417 and had an awesome stay. I went with 3 people from work in Brisbane as a get away. We hardly ended up leaving at all because everything was there. I'll be booking again soon. Very hard to fault! Thanks to all the Gilligan's team.

  Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist strip of Cairns, but within walking distance to the esplanade, shops and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff who recommended some nice tours. Clean premises and well planned layout with plenty of toilets, showers, kitchens and common areas to relax. Would definitely stay here agai... was die leute sagen » n. - We enjoyed our stay at Dreamtime Travellers rest, the guys at the reception were really helpful and they gave us a nice twin room close to the swimming pool, which was super clean and very homy. Considering Cairns's standards, this hostel raises up quite a bit! Friendly but still quiet, and just a 10 minutes stroll to downtown. Great! - I stayed here for one week, the staff are really helpful and friendly, when I arrival cairns, they pick me up from bus station immediately. the kitchen is amazing, you can get any stuff you want. the room is very clean and tidy, the bed and pillow is very soft. I stay here like staying at home. it's the best backpacker I have been to.

  the air con on every room (very usefull in Cairns as the heat is very humid), great staff, free airport shuttle, bed confortable, and very cheap ! - They went out of their way to make my stay relaxing and comfortable. Highly recommended

  Everything is close. The backpacker is more like a villa. Stayed in a double room, was very good and spacious. There's a calm bar inside. Left my bag there after check out without problem. - The hostel was very clean and spacious. We were on an 8 bed dorm and it was fantastic with great facilities.   Best backpackers I've ever stayed in! Staff are outstanding, the place is so clean, beds are good and rooms are decent size, they have a nice balcony area which you can relax or socialise in, good kitchen and they put on free breakfast for you too! Really close to everything, pub downstairs which gives you cheaper drinks if you're a guest (and you... was die leute sagen » can't hear any noise either from upstairs if you want to sleep!), main street right outside, beach is a stones throw away, all in such a perfect litt - The manager is very friendly. I booked weeks ahead not realizing i had to check in on good friday. When I arrived at 10pm, the manager still answered the phone and opened the door to let me check in. And he drove me to the airport for free at 7am the next morning!

  Excellent and very helpful staff! There was something fun going on every night such as drinking games, reptile shows, cheap bbqs etc. The people and music is quite loud (which is fun, people are happy), but it gets quiet after midnight. Showers and toilets were clean. There is about a 20 min walk from the hostel to the city center but the hostel h... was die leute sagen » ave free shuttlebuses about once every hour. If I come back to cairns, I will stay here again! - just really good service and everyone there was really helpful. plus the place just has a great atmosphere and I dont usually like backpacker hostels so that is saying something.
