I'm brazilian and stayed for four days, went alone to buenos aires and was amazing. The hostel is close to other neighborhoods known like palermo retiro and recoleta. I recommend!

  Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir konnten schon früher in unser Zimmer, da wir unsere Sachen wechseln mussten. Das Zimmer war sehr schön geräumig und alles gepflegt. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Das Restaurant unmittelbar neben dem Hotel war ausgezeichnet mit einer hervorragenden Weinauswahl und guten Steaks.   Es gibt eine schöne und grosse Dachterrasse (leider keine Aussicht). - It was my second staying in this hostel, and I had a chance to compare it with some other hostels after my first staying. I must say, that it's a really great place to live, and it's even better than most of the 2-3* hotels in Baires. Excellent lounge, nice furniture and decor... was die leute sagen » ating, very kind people who speak good English, perfect location and security, and, what was really important for me, very high level of cleanness in every part of hostel. As I think, the only reason why it's not a 'hotel' - The hostal is an old colonial building. It has original features and large shuttered windows, it is beautiful and is walking distance to the antiques market, bars and main areas while feeling vey local and not overly touristy. The owners and the people that worked there were friendly and accomodating especially Pablo and even the surly but caring Muigel. There was another very nice man there but I didn't get his name.
