The Hotel was very good for me, I was not expecting the good surprise, considering that I made the booking in less than a week. I arrived at the hotel at 08h30am after travelling for 24h between flights and stopovers and I desperately needed a shower. The room was still busy but they called me before 10h00am to tell me that the room was ready for me. The room was clean and looked very modern, The bathroom was amazing, it didn't have a bath tube but just a shower but still very modern and clean.
所有评语 » Staff were very helpful, they know the city like the back of there hand. If you want to do anything just as the staff. No bellboy which is brilliant for first time travellers to the states, no awkward moment when your not sure what to tip. Wifi in every room so when travellers that come from far away wake early in the morning because your time clock is all screwed up, you can go on the Internet and check out things to do in New York. The hotel is located in between 5th and 6th avenue on 51st st. The perfect location to start a manhanttan adventure, right around the corner of 5th avenue, radio city music hall and rockefeller center. you can walk either towards times square or central park - it's really in the heart of upper manhattan, employees are very friendly and helpful, access to the floors only with a valid roon keycard, nice business center, got an upgrade for a larger bed - ours was to small, you can leave your luggage @ the hotel after your check out and they keep it in a save . Pricing was steap for us but still seemed more reasonable than the surrounding hotels. We liked the 8th floor, and LOVED that you had a relationship with the local parking garage. We were most stressed about finding a safe place to leave the car. It was great to wake up a block from the Today show. That really made my fiance happy. She was waiting ten years to see it live and had a great time. She also loved the adjustable shower head so she didnt have to get her hair wet when she showere. The location was excellent, close to shopping, theaters, Times Square and Central Park, restaurants. The room was small, but was comfortable and had everything you needed- closet, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. I liked the cool water dispensers on every floor. The staff was helpful and friendly. I also liked that you had to use your room key to operate the elevator, just an extra touch of security even though the lobby was manned 24 hours a day. I would use this hotel again and would . Room was extremely clean, had everything in it that was needed.Bed very comfortable, even the chair bed was! Hotel facilities were excellent,laundry room,water fountain & free bottles to fill up on every level.The staff,especially Iris on front desk were exceptional @providing a 5star service.Location superb.This review is from a fussy traveller so for it to be so good it really is a great hotel that offers value for money. We had booked a king room with city view but at arrival all these rooms were taken so we got upgraded to a queen corner room with own balcony and a very nice city view. Although a bit small (probably normal in NY), the room was clean, very nicely furnished and comfortable. It was a short walking distance to central park, 5th avenue and a good spot to walk around the upper Manhattan. Location was perfect...close to theatre, Times Square, shopping, Rockefeller Center, restaurants. Staff was very friendly. Room was very comfortable and offered microwave and refrigerator, desk/chairs, small sofa, flat screen TV. View was beautiful. Price was reasonable compared with comparable hotels in City. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. The location was brilliant, the staff were attentive and friendly, the self service facilties were very good, tea and coffee in your room and also available from the customer comfort area, free wifi, self service customer amenities - iron / water fountain with free bottles to fill up from, print facilities etc.. etc.. The rooms were clean and modern. -Excellent location, just around the corner from 5th ave. with 24hrs open Duane Reade nearby, across the Rockefeller Center (safe for travel day&night) -Kind and informative front desk staff -Complimentary WiFi -Do-it-yourself laundry -Complimentary printing services -Free for use computers Would definitely stay again. Recommended!. Fantastic location, great views, one staff member in particular gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants, shows to see, etc. Even though room tiny still very comfortable. Air conditioner was not working when we arrived late evening and a call to the front desk had the problem fixed immediately. Would definitely stay again. I had a room with kitchen, so I could do my own breakfast, nice & simple, without getting out of my PJ's. Great room, spacious, coulda stayed there a month without feeling cramped. GREAT for a solo 64 yr old "matron"- we only eat "big" once a day, y'know, so NOT having to go off-site for all my food was SO RELAXING!. The location of the hotel is great and we would definitely stay here again. The room we stayed in was just what we were after, quite small but isn't an issue if you are just sleeping there and being out and about. We found the free water bottles great too which saved us some money! The staff very helpful and friendly too. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially a young lady by the name of Lauren. She went way above and beyond what was called for when we had an unexpected situation to deal with. The location is fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and would obviously stay there again. Outrageous location. Tiny room, but ingenious, ship-cabin type design made it work. Sleek, modern design, delightful. Extremely clean, quiet, wonderfully comfortable smack on Rockefeller Ctr. We were very price sensitive and we feel like we landed a stellar tradeoff of price/location. the cushions are divine, the staff are extremely friendly and even gave me a breakfast voucher for waiting half an hour for my room. Free filtered water on each floor, free wifi throughout the hotel, fabulous location West 51st between 5th and 6th Avenue. Very quiet and peaceful. The staff are very friendly and efficient. All our requests were met quickly and correctly. The superior room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Water, coffee and tea available 24 hours on the second floor. The location is fantastic. Well located and spotless! Very hip design that offers a clever use of space, lighting and functionality. Room is compact but efficient and has great amenities including a small refrigerator and microwave. Would recommend and would stay here again!. The stay At The Jewel Hotel was a great Experience. Our room had many amenities that made our stay very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it, and we will definitely will stay there again. We were very impressed with the minimalist design which provided everything necessary. Very up to date tech-wise (even lending I-pads). The location is incredible! Perfect. The location is absolutely fabulous: just in front the Rockfeller Center and in the middle of NYC with everything at walking (sometimes long but still) walking distance. I loved the Jewel. I would stay here again. All of the staff were there to make your stay pleasant and went out of their way to please you. I thought the price was a little too high (over 300 per night with taxes included), but that is the price of booking too late. ... not that I can think of any... We didnt realize the temp control was next to the bed, so tried unsucessfully to adjust the temp on the heater. we froze a little here and there throughout the night, but eventually figured it out. :) We'd have benefited from a guide to the tv stations. The remote was a little slow and had to be pushed rea;;y hard to work, and it took us a while to flip through the stations. Even if settled with a small upgrade, I still think the hotel should aim to keep its promise with the room resevation (running out of the room type we'd payed for is a little odd). Sheets on bed were stiff, thin and felt like paper. (Minor inconvenience that would not affect our decision to stay here again.). No refrigerator. Wardrobe too small to accommodate our suitcases. nothing. IF I hadnt had the option to make my own coffee in the AM, & heat up a Pain Chocolat from the Dean & DeLuca's around the corner, & keep some soup & some OJ & cheese & crackers & an apple or 2 in the room, well, you woulda been nice but still not "home"-. A safe in the room would have been helpful. OK *fine* since you ask. Hotel staff stood on their feet all day in an exposed nook in the lobby. It looked like a wicked uncomfortable way to spend your work day. Made me wonder when I first walked in: who *does* this to their white collar staff, and um, did I make the right choice here?. King size bed was made up of two beds with a big divider in the middle, I prefer one solid bed, though they did warn me. The rooms are pretty small though adequate. There was only a sheet and a comforter, I woke up freezing and turned the air con off and opened the window instead. 1) Room the bedroom space was small (excluding closets, bathroom) the space was approximately 10" x 15". However, we were so busy in New York. We arrived to our room only to sleep. They don't have 24 hour room service so when you are hungry you can't buy food in the hotel. Pretty much liked it all! No complaints. Because we are frequent visitors to NYC but not members, the price is a bit high for more than a few days. Very pleased with the hotel and the one at the World Trade center. Nothing. 1) bathroom towels were suprisingly poor. 2) Complimentary water from the floor drops way too slow. No parking no restaurant. Had cold water in shower for one evening and following morning. Got up late that morning so I'm presuming tank was empty but still a little irritating. Had a balcony which was nice but the draft was almighty even when door was closed. Frankly though these things are tiny as stay was all in all excellent. Bed was harder than I would have liked and bedding wasn't great. Nothing I would stay there again. It was alittle pricey but it is NYC and for the location was excellent. You could walk everywhere. Volume on tv didn't work well - sounds kept cutting out. No AC in the Fitness Ctr. - or fans. 1. very small wardrobe. It's rather business oriented without Restaurant (link to a next-door Hotel resto) and reception limited to the essential. Shower water was cold in my room and also in my friend's room. Nothing, everything was just perfect!. it would have been more convenient to have had a restaurant within the hotel. Not one thing. We plan to return and would recommend without hesitation. The air conditioner was not working the first night. It was fixed as soon as I reported it. Also the tv didn't work right for NBC channel. there was an issue with my pre bill and the explanation could have been clearer. Nevertheless the dialogue was extremely polite and understanding the whole time. Nothing.
