My partner and I stayed at The Ravensworth 24-28 March and all i can say it what a lovely hotel. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. It was my birthday during the stay and after a day out I returned to find a card and gift from the owners. A lovely touch. We stayed in the super kingsize which was just perfect, the bed was so big i hardly seen my partner!! Excellent accomodation. A nice warm welcome on arrival, clean comfortable room, excellent full english breakfast, staff were attentive but not intrusive and very well mannered, also useful was the information given in room for local places to have evening meals which we found very helpful. Hotel was in a great location for getting around the Lake District.

The hotel is in an ideal location close to shops, bars and restaraunts. We really enjoyed our stay here. We really enjoyed our stay at The Ravensworth. Ten out of ten for everything, we would definately stay again and recommend to all our friends. Owners were really hospitable and friendly, room was spotless, bed so comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.There is nothing I can say about The Ravensworth other than ... perfect! We couldn't have been happier with our stay. We will most definitely return and would recommend The Ravensworth to anyone ... as we have already done!!. Staff were very efficient and friendly. The hotel was clean and smelledclean! Car parking was good and safe. Breakfasts were excellent.The staff, the food the whole experience was wonderful this is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. you are made to feel very welcome. The hotel staff cannot do enough for you. This hotel is an absolute gem.When we arrived we were shown to our room and then served with tea biscuits and cakes in the lounge. The flexibility of the lady who looked after us with leaving early and putting a bottle of champagne in the room as requested was great. Thank you very much for a lovely weekend. Staff were very efficient and very pleasant. We were offered and took a better room with a patio at a slightly higher price , worth the extra. Breakfast was excellent. But this is a small point compared to how brilliant the hotel actually was.Size of bedroom and bathroom in particularl were a bit 'tight'. If staying there again would prefer a larger room. We booked a superior four poster room, the bed was very comfortable but at £80 a night, it was pretty expensive for quite a small room.Towels not changed when left on floor. the shower was poor. Rooms at back get some traffic noise. Car parking spaces a little small if driving a long car. The bed was not big enough!. longe/ sitting room small. Not a major point but in poor weather not a comfatuble room to spend time in.Breakfast was a bit uimaginative and a bit thin in terms of variety. Theroom was fine, but on the small side. Extremely small bathroom with very strange shower arrangement , theyunderstandably had made the best use of the available space.
