  Although Damons-Lincoln is undergoing renovation at the moment this did not impact on our stay at all. The staff made us fully aware of the situation on checking in. Although an un-renovated room it was still very comfortable and spacious with a very large comfortable bed.   I liked the fact it was very good money and good location for what it's worth. The night guard at reception was very friendly. The rooms were tidy and ideal for groups of people who are going out in Lincoln city centre. Comfortable bed and clean en suite. The room was very clean and to a good standard with an excellent ensuite with clean shower area. The double bed was very comfortable.   The Gables is well placed for a visit to Lincoln, especially if like us you did not want to drive in and find parking. On our first day we used the train and the next day went by bus to town. it was very easy and convenient to travel thus. She struck the perfect balance of being pleasant and friendly without overwhelming. The breakfast was wonderful and the information booklet very h - The apartment was well designed and had everything you could possibly need for your stay it was spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, there was good parking, the owners were welcoming and friendly and happy to provide advise on the area, nothing was to much trouble. The breakfast menu was nothing short of 5* would have loved to stay longer if only to sample everything offered on their superb menu. Would not hesitate going back to the Gables Guest House.

  The cleanest and friendly place we have ever stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble. Felt like home. They made you feel so welcome and made you feel like you had known them for years. We cannot praise them and their hotel enough. We will definitely be staying with them every time we go to that part of Lincoln. Price wise excell - I have stayed at the Loudor twice now and I cannot find a fault .Travelling as I do for business I have stayed in many hotels but there are very few that I look forward to returning to.This is at the top of my list the welcome by Mick and Jo( great conversation) and environment of the Loudor makes it a fabulous place. Also a great Italian over the road to round off a long day .Breakfast , best porridge ever !! Cooked breakfast also won praise from my husband. Would recommend with no hesitation
