  We stayed in the hotel part but met backpackers in the bar. It was clean, friendly and in an easy spot to get around with buses and tube stop within a 3 minute walk. Kettle in the room for the morning coffee was appreciated greatly. Really pleasantly surprised for what they charge.   I was popping up to london for 2 days for college interviews, and after looking at the price of some hotels it seemed stupid paying near enough £200! I choose a room in a female only dorm,I'd never stayed in a group room before but it was fine, my expectations were majorly exceeded! I don't think ill ever b - The equipment is amazing (other than the very small kitchen), particularly the room (I was in a 4-bed) displayed a very high standard. The breakfast was decent (no fruit anymore though, as visitors had stated in previous reviews). Wifi at the ground floor and nice ares to sit, relax or even work. The location is certainly not central, but Oxford street is 20 mins away and the Jubilee Line will drop you off at St. Paul's or Buckingham Palace in not much more time. We also needed the kitchen facilities and coin operated clothes washing & drying equipment . The free brochures and information on London & UK available in the lounge is most helpful to overseas travellers like me!

  The location was ideal, just a short walk to lambeth north and straight onto bakerloo line. You could get to the london eye in about 12 minutes. I was booked into a 15 bed dorm but was put in a 6 bed female so that was a bonus as a single traveller staying for 4 nts. If you wernt quivk - I liked all, all the Hostel was perfect, the staff were pleasant and they resolved all my doubts, and all, because i had a small problem with the plug and they were very attent to give me a solution. The ubication of the hostel is perfect, only 10 or 15 min to Weistminster, and very close from the Lambeth North underground. The hostel was absolutly clean and is a very good place to meet people from different countries. I recommend this hostel, is very nice

  I liked that it was always clean everywhere and that the staff were always so nice and helpfull. I also liked that the hotel was open 24/7 so you didn't have to worry about getting back there too late. All in all I'm very happy with my stay there and I'd recommend The Generator to anyone going to London - The bar in the hostel is awesome. The general atmosphere of the place is great - definitely the way to go if you want to meet other young people and have a damn good time. Drinks prices in the bar weren't too bad - £2.20 on all drinks (except doubles!) and the kareoke was fun. Staff were very friendly too.
