We were allowed to take a dog and were not banished to a room akin to a kennel as has happened in other hotels!   A warm welcome and friendly staff. Huge en-suite room which was both clean and extremely comfortable. Good choice of breakfast which was well cooked. Overall a lovely house with excellent facilities and in the most wonderful, quiet location.   the Claymore was a lovely hotel in a lovely position,a few minutes walk from town in a beautiful setting. the perfect place to explore the beautiful scenery surrounding Pitlochry.   We had a great time, it was my mothers birthday and the staff were very accomodating, helpful and friendly, the food was excellent and the rooms very clean and comfortable. - The setting of the hotel was great,arrived too late to use the leisure facilities.
