Rooms are excellent value for the money and I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of cleanliness. Beds are warm and comfortable. Rooms on the ground floor along corridor behind the front desk seem to be in a quiet position, with no evidence of noise from other areas. At the front desk staff were helpful and polite and I would certainly consider staying there again if visiting Cardff. The hotel was in an excellent position for ease of getting to Motorpoint Arena, which was just across the r.
所有评语 » As we walked in the young lady on the reception was very polite and helpful the position of the hotel was excellent there is no parking but we parked in the st davids centre directly opposite the hotel and were there for 20hrs and it only cost £11 if you dont want to take your car the train station is only a 5 minute walk the room was really nice and facilities were very good already planing another stay at the ibis would reccomend value for money especially as it was only a 2 minute walk into . This was our third visit, staying in the IBIS. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean. We had a little wait until our room was available but that gave us time to have some lunch and relax.The reason for our trip was for my father's 65th birthday and we were given 2 free drinks vouchers which was a lovely gesture. Would recommend this hotel as we used it as a base to shop, visit the bay and have a birthday meal out and will book again for my next weekend visit to Cardiff. The rooms were clean and fairly spacious. Plenty of wardrobe space for a short stay. Clean bathroom and fabulous shower. Very friendly and accommodating staff especially friendly to my son, even gave him his own key card. Very knowledgeable of the local area and were always able to answer the questions I asked. Food was great, and real fast especially good and good value for money. Definitely a good, value for money, family friendly hotel. We have stayed here several times because the Ibis is so convenient for the city centre particularly the Motorpoint Arena. Queen Street, the centre of the city, is only metres away but the hotel is quiet despite its proximity to the city centre. Rooms basic but clean and with everything you need. Beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the price was excellent. Fantastic staff, excellent room and 24 hour bar and food service at sensible prices. As seasoned travellers this was one of the most pleasant hotels that we have stayed in. Our room was on the ground floor near to a railway line but the room was so well insulated that we heard nothing. 10/10! Car parking at £5 at a secure NCP car park for 24 hours with many disabled bays also near to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. This hotel is a perfect location as you do not have any traffic/city noise to disturb your stay but is close to all the shopping,food places and the many places of interest. This is the second time I have stayed here and have just booked another weekend break at this hotel. On arrival we were greated and dealt with by the pleasent receptionist, who offered us a twin room instead of a double. We only paid for one breakfast so we could share as my daughter only wanted a drink. Lovely comfortable beds, the room was spotless and even though the hotel was on the main road, the rooms were very quiet. The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was excellent. You could help yourself to anything you wanted, and there was lots of choice. We loved the location. It was ideal for shopping, concerts, eating out or any of the tourist attractions. We will definitely stay there again. It was great value for money. The hotel was modern, well-equipped, the staff were friendly, helpful and responsive. The location was perfect, near the shops, castle and everything, and still 5 min away from the city night live. Walking distance to Railway and Bus Stations. This was a budget-friendly, no-frills hotel option perfect for us! Very stylish and central to the city and Castle, it had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, the room had AC & a heater, and a desk, tea/coffee making facilities and the staff were very friendly. This was my 2nd stay at Ibis Cardiff Centre and my request for a twin rm was granted. Rm 101 was convenient since we just take the stairs up.After checkout, my luggage was kindly stored for almost 4 hrs til my transport came. Staff was always kind and helpful. Thanks. Location is perfect. Really inexpensive compared to other places we are staying in our trip. As a hotel chain, IBIS is exactly the same wherever you go. It has the basics only but you know exactly what to expect. Although breakfast is paid, it was really good. Plant trees for every 5 towels re used. The location was great boyh for shopping and our visit to the nearby Motorpoint Arena.Although it is central there was none of the night time noise we have experienced in other city centre hotels. I've been going to ibis Cardiff regularly for over a year. It is convenient to the station and city centre. It is clean and has all neeeded for a 2 night stay. Location-great for shopping and eateries! This is a good hotel if you only need it to sleep at night.The bed was comfortable and the shower was good(pod style). Our room looks over the Motorpoint Arena which we loved as we were watching a band there that night. The helpful staff and the 24/7 food menu came in handy!. loved the hotel, will definitely book again fantastic location as all amenities are close by. very friendly staff and very clean thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I was visiting home so love the city and know it well. It is compact, easy to get around and has something for everyone, especially with the Bay development. I cant think of much I didn't like during the short time I was there - and considering the budget price of the rooms, I thought everything was as you would expect, apart maybe from the fact that the fan heaters positioned above the doors inside the rooms were a little noisy in operation!. Nothing really apart from parking but £11 in a city centre I think is very reasonable !!!. Nothing to report - hotel and staff made our stay very pleasant. Having to try and park to leave the bags was a bit of a pain with having my son but the parking was well directed by the staff from the hotel and was a good price. The bar shuts at 12, as do most of the pubs in the area so no chance of a late night drink unless you like clubs (we don't)!. Woken up by the fire alarm going off twice around 7:30am. I would say this was more of a minus on my husband's behalf as I had more time to prepare to shop!!. Nothing. There were problems with wifi, it didn't work one day. Internet in the hall worked well at the same time, but they charged a pound or two (do not remember) every 20 minutes. No complaints - internet facility is being installed in individual rooms within the next few weeks which is another great addition. we came for st david's and we could hear all the street noise BUT at the same time we had a gallery view of the crowd that gathered for the ID concert! It would be doubly nice if there was free WIFI. Paid breakfast and paid internet. Nothing really - maybe having to pay for wifi; possibly would have liked access to more free programme channels on the TV. Menu was rather limited. Multi purpose shower gel for hair and body isn't great and didn't use it. Our room was right along side the train track which was pretty noisy, but we had got used to that by the second night. There should be a mirror by a plug socket for drying / straightening hair etc. Although the bar is city centre it is still over priced really. Nothing. the tv in the room could be updated, very limited channels. Three times over my two day (pre-paid) stay I had to return to reception from the third floor because the magnetic room key had stopped working - I saw two people doing the same! A bit of a nuisance. I stayed for two nights and my room wasn't serviced at all. We paid for budget hotel and that is what we got so have no bad points. no parking available but there was parking near by at A very cheap rate. Whilst on the whole the hotel appeared very clean there were a couple of areas that needed an eye for detail - just a few marks on one of the bedside tables and a hair in the shower. I think that when the put the headboard in room 126 they probably when oh my god we figure that one out because you could not open the door if the bed was in the right place and you could hear the music from the bar area which is alright when you are going to sleep but it woke me up when the turned it on for the breakfast service. Nothing. N/A. Nothing in special. theres nothing not to like the hotel is next to a train station but its not noisy. No fridge in the room. Something that could come very handy when u r with young children. Price was on the higher side. The breakfast 'room' was rather noisy and open to anyone booking in. It would be more acceptable if this area was partitioned off. Stayed on the rail track side of the hotel and could hear the trains going past, but nether the less did not spoil my stay as the bed is so comfy :). Nothing here !!! BUT if I had to mention something - I'd like a bin in the room as well as bathroom and also LARGE TOWELS BATH. !! NOT really important !!!!!!. Local knowledge of how to get places would have been good although the reception staff did their best. There was a drainage smell in our room to begin with but I didn't complain because there is not much one can do about that. the bed was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was a bit expensive. Would suggest more than just two towels in a double room. It is not luxurious. Some rooms are a little past their best. Beihg city centre means some road noise on one side and rail (which I find more disturbing) on the other. The fact that someone was drilling something at 4am! Slow wifi. N/A for us the hotel was perfect!. Nothing.
