  Booked 3 rooms for a family birthday - my husband's 60th. All 3 rooms were of a good size and good size beds. Clean and tidy and the 2 double rooms had a huge flat screen TV. Staff very friendly and although the hotel had a restaurant themselves they were willing to recommend an excellent place in Northallerton as we wanted something special.   We stayed here for one night taking 2 rooms and enjoyed our stay here. We had 2 rooms both of which were a good size and clean throughout. The pub is in a good, quiet location only a short drive from the Yorkshire Dales (you need a car to get to local amenities). The breakfast was good, with plenty of choice too, so all in all to be recommended and we would stay here again if in the area. - Very convenient for local attractions and towns. Extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly with a very attentive manager. Bar (good local beers) and restaurant obviously popular with locals but never too noisy. All very clean, rooms a good size and quiet with pleasant views. Beds very comfortable. Good locally-sourced pub food and excellent freshly-cooked breakfasts.
