Pen-Y-Bryn Cottages was a wonderful first destination to your trip to the UK. While Aberdare isn't what you'd consider a touristy destination when considering a trip to Wales, the cottages were an incredible value. The owners, Debbie and Gerwyn, were so friendly and helpful. The view from the cottages was breathtaking with lots of animals about. Aberdare is about a half hour's drive -
Most accommodating family owners I have ever met - they were so obliging
with our time of arrival and when we left some belongings behind they
posted them on without charge. Really relaxed & friendly and
extremely good value - all amenities you could need. It is a drive
outside Aberdare but you can walk to local shops. Actually it was much
nicer being up on the hillside with peace & quite, view and their
array of docile farm animals! Can not speak highly enough of the cottage
for comfor
