  We booked expecting a room in a guest house and were stunned to find a beautifully decorated and comfortabe room overlookingt the Amstel river. In addition we also had exclusive use of the whole floor leading tou own coffee ad tea making machine and shower and changing room. Really freindly welcome by Ken. Our family room was very large with a double bed, a single bed and two very comfortable sofas;an additional bonus was that you could slide double doors across to separate into two individual bedrooms.   The location of the hotel and the staf are realy helpfull and nice - The hotel is in an excellent location, quite near to Dam Square and all the major attractions. I liked the fact the hotel has a lift - I have stayed in small hotels in the past and have to climb lots of narrow, steep steps which is difficult with bags.
