  The location is great (in the old city). Very near to almost everything. The flat is very comfortable and affordable, especially for larger groups (We were 3 co-workers travelling to a conference). More than anything I have to note the staff, who made a huge effort to locate a Tiffany jewel that I forgot in the flat.   Very stylish and comfortable apartment in a very good location. We stayed there for 8 days and felt ourself as at home. The owner of the apartment Geert-Jan was very friendly and helped us everything we needed.   The staff were probably the most helpful I have come across in 30 years of travelling the world. They even tracked us down by phone to tell us that a museum we thought closed at 9 was to close at 7. The decor of the hotel is great and although like all canal side town houses the rooms are small, they were well laid out and of a high quality. Our room was pretty small, but to be expected from a city centre hotel, especially in Amsterdam, however it was immaculately presented, beautifully decorated, and the bed was so comfortable we nearly didn't make it up in the morning. The staff were wonderful, and we will be going back.

  We loved the fact that the room was absolutely silent and bliss for a good nights sleep. Our room, though without a canal or garden view, was beautifully designed and exceptionally quiet. One of the reasons we chose Canal House was the garden which exceeded our expectations as a comfortable and beautiful place to chill out, read and enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif. As I needed to rest my foot one day, it was a particularly welcome amenity.
