  This was the most comfortable hostel I stayed in during my travels. In a very cute city away from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam, but just a 10 min walk + 15 min train ride to visit Amsterdam.   It was far enough away from the center of Haarlem for privacy but close enough to walk to. I liked the breakfast bonus of being included in the hotel rate.   What a gem! Such a special place, right on a small canal. This is a home from home and I'd recommend staying in Haarlem rather than Amsterdam with children as it's 15 minutes by train into Amsterdam and the same time to the beautiful beach. Haarlem is a mini Amsterdam without the awful crowds and the house was a perfect haven.
