I liked the lovely staff especially Hamid and Amina who were incredible. I was given a beautiful room in another riad owned by the same people as there was a problem with my potential room. I think I was lucky due to this. I was taken to a wonderful nearby place for dinner. Riad Khl made the reservation for me which included someone accompanying me there though the maze of streets. Very Moroccan experience.
所有评语 » The Riad is beautifully set in a truly Moroccan style, well maintained and is located right in alleys near many places that most tourists visit. The rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. A dream. The staff – specially Hamid – were friendly and efficient. Beautiful terrace from where you can see many things, even the "cigognes". Loved it all. Location in old town provided an authentic ambiance. Lovely interior, with splash pool and rooftop terrace. Effective WiFi, I gathered from others. Excellent staff, helpful in every respect. Good breakfast. The manager offered Moroccan dinner on arrival: very good fare, vegetarian at our request; decent house wine. Reprised on final evening. this riad was great. the staff were really helpful and went the extra way to give us a fantastic weekend, they even threw in a bottle of champagne for free to celebrate a birthday. Staff were exceptionally helpful and always welcoming. Breakfasts were always plentiful and varied each day. The chef prepared some wonderful meals upon request. The hotel was stunning. Great stuff very helpful and polite. Extremely clean. Very good breakfast. Very attentive. Great hotel. breakfast, terrace, rooms (a little bit dark in wall colours, but a very good arabic style). Good location; atmospheric little hotel in the backstreets of the medina. Lovely rooftop terrace for breakfast and sunbathing. A lot of people staying there were smoking in the courtyard foyer. That was most unpleasant and I was glad to go to the other riad where the air was clean. The rooms around the courtyard on the ground floor lacked privacy and were small. I was very glad to be given a room in their other riad - Medea. I think I was lucky. We arrived late so had ordered a 3-course meal for 2. Very delicious, but no gourmet food! We paid 60 euros! I thought that was not a very nice welcoming. Is there a need to charge so much for a meal in a not so expensive hotel? Don't know! With everything else so well put together the price of meal didn't go down well. But I would definitely go back there, but no dinner. We'd notified our c/card provider about travel in Morocco. Chip and pin worked well everywhere but payment of the riad on arrival was by internet transaction. This worked with our friends' card but not ours and we had to phone the uk to unblock the transaction. This wasn't attributable to the riad but to our bank's security procedures. All debit card atm transactions worked. it was rather dark in the room making reading difficult and although we booked a room with a bath it didn't materialise. Very low bed but very comfortable once in it. Room was dark and could have benefited from brighter light bulbs. The dark interior of the room fitted the ambiance of the hotel though. The location was not nice. The taxy can't reach the hotel. You need to walk through very tiny pedestrial hallyways and it feels unsafe. Also you need to pay in their local currency and the exchange rate is higher then the official one. Also if you pay by card there is a 3.5 % surcharge. So better you cash some money to avoid it. It can be that all hotels in Marrachech ....something to keep in mind !!! Be prepared .... position in medina not so easy to find taxi does not arrive to riad price of room in local value (dirham) if you pay with card the price will be charged of 3,5% disordered traffic and noise all the time in the street of the old city (medina). Downstairs public areas not very comfortable. The dim lighting which is used to create a particular atmosphere was annoying - impossible to read, shave or make-up in the low lighting.
