  We stayed two nights in September 2013 at the Traders Hotel in Penang. The hotel is part of the Shangri-la group and used to be called the Shangri-la Inn. It’s not a brand new property but from what we could tell it is still in a very well-maintained condition.   It was a very nice and comfortable hotel. The room was quiet, big and clean(however note that if you stay for 3 nights it is not cleaned during your stay so you have to keep it clean). The location was also very good, it was very centrally located. We liked the breakfast that was served in the nice outdoor restaurant.
