  An extremely well-designed (but small and compact) hotel. Very friendly staff - knowledgeable and helpful and really kind. We've stayed in 4 hotels over the past 10 days in Japan and this is easily the best; much better than the place we stayed in Kyoto for 1.5 times the price.   The location was great being walking distance from train station and yet near to the parks. Alot of amentities around the hotel - restaurants, supermarkets. The Hotel staff was friendly and helpful and managed to get a kid size bike for my girl. We enjoyed to common hotbath where we are provided with Japanese gown to use.

  The man who runs the guest house speaks very good English. He and his wife are doing a great job running this hostel. I find the location perfect because right next to the station, so easy to access with the bags. Nara isn't a big city so it's totally fine to walk to the spots.   I like the fact that when we had some last minute change of plans, the receptionist helped us instantly in cancelling the last night of our stay (we stayed for 5 nights) as we opted to go to another city for our last 2 days. After checkout, we were able to leave our bags, rent some bikes from the hotel, and bike around the city until our departure later that day.
