Right after the booking I got an e-mail from the staff, which welcomed my booking and gave basic info about the B&B. The B&B was easy to find, almost next to the Duomo. The B&B was on the second floor, with about 40 steps of stairs. The room with the external bathroom was basic with queen bed, TV, little table, minibar, chair, cupboard. The room also accommodated an extra bed. The bathroom was about 5-6 metres away from the room, across the reception area. Mandy was very nice in th.

The beds were very comfortable (and large) for Europe - Actually the most comfortable we've slept in since beginning our European travels nearly a year ago. The location is excellent - a short walk from the train station and right next to the Duomo. It is an easy walk to most of the sites, and in the heart of the beautiful city. Even so, when the windows were closed, we could not hear any of the noise from outside. We would certainly stay here again - a. This was a great location with an excellent owner who went out of their way to be helpful and accomodating. Even though there is no "official breakfast", the room has croissants, coffee and chocolate, which is what many budget rooms consider 'breakfast' anyway. The owner has a discount for guests at a nearby restaurant, which sounds like a trap, but was one of the best restaurants we ate at in Italy and the only one we visited twice!. The host is super friendly and tell us what are the best stuff to do in Florence. The recommendations he gave is so good. Also, the location is amazing! Staying at B&B Bel Duomo makes our trip perfect. We are four girls and the area around is so safe that we won't worried at all. The service is excellent and the rooms are clean and large which feels like you are home. I will definitely be back to Florence and stay here again!. Mandy&Giulio were very kind and recommended good things to do in Firenze for a solo traveler. The atmosphere of the place is warm and cozy, which made me feel comfortable when I came back from the freezing day out. The genuine Italian espresso and Toscana wine I enjoyed thanks to Giulio's kindness were also great! I'll definitely stay at this place next time I go to Firenze. The room we booked accommodated 5 people very nicely - the baby slept with us in the king size bed while the two older kids had their own beds. There as a minimal kitchen which served our purposes well. The staff was amazing! The owners and front desk staff (girl from Spain) were honest and provided a lot of good tips about where to eat and what sights to visit. Great location, 10 yards off the Duomo plaza. You could take a break in the middle of the day and go back out and find great food in minutes. Nice room. Big queen bed. Mandy gave great restaurant recommendations Walking distance to Uffizi and Accademia, takes no more than 10-15 minutes. The location could not be better: 10 yards from the Piazza del Duomo. The welcome was warm, the room spotless and extremely quiet (apart from the 7am Duomo bells!) - careful, rooms 1 and 2 look out onto the Very busy Borgo San Lorenzo, the others on a silent inner courtyard. The location is just perfect - you walk out and in 10 metres you see the Duomo. - Great location.Duomo is stand beside the hotel door - No breakfast provided. Good central Florence location. Stairs were fine for us but could be a difficulty for elderly or those who have a disability. You need to walk a bit of stairs. We were carrying a large luggage each person but still we think it is fine. No elevator with steep stairs, if that is a problem. It was not for us. Unless you drink coffee or cappuccino the paid in advance breakfast at the Opera Cafe is not worth the money. But Julio, the owner called and made it right. Parking was a little high 26 euros a day but that's what you get in the city. No lift/elevator, so it's up three flights of stairs. No problem once the luggage got up. Bathroom is small. But hey, it Europe. nothing. Except that the name B&B implies breakfast. There is no breakfast offered. I recommend stepping out of the building, turn left and have breakfast at Scudieri across the way. Delicious!. The washroom is separated from the guestroom. The B&B is wonderful. They cannot control the level of revelry that goes on well into the night. But it's part of the charm of Florence. A little low on the water pressure, so shower was not as ideal as it could have been. -Bathroom was extremely tiny -but we would definitely return if we get the chance. No lift for our very heavy suitcases. Nothing!. We had a heating problem the first day, however the staff solved it as soon as we reported it. External bathroom just next to reception desk. The inevitable downside of being so close to the Duomo - a little noisy in the evenings, but not a huge issue unless you're a light sleeper. Not much....perhaps access to a washing machine. nothing. Loud noise from street. The street outside the windows was very busy (with people, not cars), so if you want to have windows open, prepare for noise. A little bit noisy at night and in the morning. The smallest bathroom I have ever seen. When sitting on the toilet I could touch all 4 walls of the bathroom. Not really happy with the 'recommended' restaurants - of the 4 meals ordered, 3 were totally messed up and were not value for money at all. Very hard to find as there is no sign showing where the hotel is. It is listed as a B&B but is not as there is no breakfast supplied (other than coffee and a snack). It wasn't ideal that the bedroom and bathroom were separated by the lobby (we had been warned that the bathroom was separated from the bedroom, but didn't realise we'd have to go through the lobby to get to the bathroom). It is noisy a bit over nights (as the hotel is really in the center that never sleeps :). toliet leaking and unstable water supply for shower. a bit noisy at night. Occasional smell from the drainage system, but I wouldn't be put off by that. Second floor walk up, very dingy stairs but don't be dismayed. May have to phone the manager to meet you if arriving after mid afternoon. It's hard to find at night. Nothing...everything was superb!. very basic, uncomfortable bed, separate bathroom. Bed and breakfast in these days does not longer mean you will get a proper breakfast. We had coffee and tea in the room and prepacked croissants in the room and that was it. We stayed at room number 5. The bathroom was not just outside the room(which we were aware of) but across the reception desk area. The owners shoud deffinitely think of improvement. It is annoying and rather inconvenient. - Very very small bathroom and do not seperate wet and dry zone.room size for just shower room but here they make a bathroom for guest - Quite dark room , not enought lighting - Room door is not sound proof. - No staff here,you have make appointment them in advance if you need. - No view form window. Street noise very loud, poor sound insulation. Queen bed very uncomfortable, too hard for me. Cleaning staff did not leave enough shampoo, body wash packets, or towels. Cleaning staff mistook bag of clothing for trash (we did get it returned). No breakfast so a bit not named as b &b . Only a crossiant at the room and if want breakfast , they offer the coupon (40%off ) in one cafe next street. Strange ! Dont go with heavy lauggage cos no lift.
