This was a return visit to Alte Schmiede. I stayed here last year with my Fiancee as we toured Europe. We stopped here for 2 nights last year to visit Europa park. Excellent accommodation. Host was very welcoming and very helpful, indicating location of supermarket etc. Apartment was fantastic. Very comfortable and extremely well equipped. Private parking space was very welcome as location is in the middle of a town so quite busy. The heart of the black forest is very easily reachable after a relatively short drive. Location is also very close to Freiburg, as well as the Vosges in France. Food in the steak house below was divine. One of the best meat meal
